If your fur baby is relaxed about being handled, the less stress and anxiety they will feel when visiting the groomer and the vet.
The introduction to the grooming environment can be started as soon as the puppy is vaccinated and allowed out.

Teacher's Pet 'Puppy introduction' is designed to give your puppy a fun, confidence building experience whilst acclimatising them to grooming.

There are lots of noises, smells and big objects for a puppy to get used to so we want to make the process positive.

The course costs £40 for 2 hours spread over 2-3 sessions tailored to your pup’s needs (up to the age of 20 weeks)

The Introduction Sessions include:

• Play and treats whilst introducing Pup to some of the noises, smells and sights involved in grooming
  
• Gradual familiarisation to grooming tools and confidence building on the 'big dogs' groom table

• Brush and comb through, nail clip, eye and ear clean (if needed)

• A bath with gentle shampoo and conditioner and introduction to drying machines

• Short scissor neaten, clip or strip according to coat type and condition of coat
  

Sessions to be taken within a 6 week window from 12 weeks of age (according to your vet's recommendation)

Once your puppy has completed their Puppy Course you will receive 10% off your dog breed's full grooming price for their first 'big dog' groom.
